Up in Flames

7/7/2021 (Permalink)

Just like that your home or business is gone. The flames are growing and you are unable to tame them. The fire department is on their way, but not fast enough to save your home or business.

Routine maintenance can keep your home or business from going up so quickly. We have several checklists for what you should be doing annually. You can find those posts further down on this blog.

Make sure to always have a fire extinguisher close by to stop a small fire before it gets out of control. You also need to check the fire extinguisher annually to make sure that it is not expired. If you need to have your fire extinguisher checked or renewed you can usually call your local fire department and they can either do it or direct you to someone who can renew it for you.

For a business you have to legally have your fire extinguishers checked and up to date every year. The fire marshal will do surprise but routine check ups to make sure that you are keep up on these not only for the safety of your employees but also the safety of the businesses around yours.
